Calblanque National ParkThe Park has been designated a Protected Natural Area since 1987 and Nature Reserve since 1992. Calblanque is an amalgamation of wonderful sand beaches, sandbanks, arid hills, cliff tops and salt flats all of great ecological value.
This Nature Reserve represents one of the last untouched areas along the Mediterranean coastline. To reach Calblanque take the motorway towards La Manga, once past Los Belones, take the next singposted exit. There are car parking areas, an information booth, a camping area and a list of recommended routes.

Tip: Your bird watching will be easier if you carry binoculars. Warning: Naturists like Calblanque beaches. Respect the privacity of the people you see, whether they are naked, dressed up or wearing a bathing costume. Description of routesThe route begins approximately one and a half Km. past the main exit to Los Belones. Note: From memory it's actually a service road that runs parallel to the motorway You have to take the unsurfaced track that starts there. After you find the first signposts, one directs you left, to "Salinas de Rasell" (Rasell saltworks). This is well worth a visit. After the saltworks you can reach the beautiful Calblanque Beach. From the saltworks you can also drive to the spectacular "Playa Larga" beach.
